Abstract:: This article from São Paulo's leading daily, Folha de São Paulo, describes the lack of quality childcare facilities in São Paulo's urban periphery as of 1981 as well as the poor quality of the few existing facilities. This clipping was made by a member of the Associação Feminina da Zona Norte, an organization of women from the urban periphery heavily involved in the fight for public, free childcare.
