Chavez tackles the teamsters

Description

Abstract:
Explains La Causa of Cesar Chavez and the UFW to organize poor migratory farm workers in the grape vineyards of California. Their success there is now under attack as the contracts previously won have expired and growers are refusing to resign them, aligning themselves instead with the Teamsters. Chavez and George Meany, president of the AFL-CIO, claim that the Teamsters do not represent the interests of the workers.
