- A meeting of the Coachella Valley Unified School District was adjourned due to demonstrations by the Community Committee for Alternatives in Education (CCAE) who demanded that the meeting be translated into Spanish. The group continued to demonstrate in the community afterwards, police report is mentioned. CCAE demands the reinstatement of teaching positions for Roman Koenig, Yolanda Almaraz, Charles Marquez and Socorro Quintero and accuses teachers Don Cochran or child molestation and Jane Coffey of abuse. Dora Gomez claims that Superintendent Eugene Tucker was supportive of their actions.
