The article focuses on the need for humanitarian assistance for the people of Syria who have been suffering from the effects of the civil war. Topics discussed include the results of the report "Failing Syria" released by the nongovernmental organization Norwegian Refugee Council and other organizations in 2016, the resolutions passed by the United Nations Security Council to help war victims and the challenges that limit humanitarian access to Syrian women, men and children in need.
