Abstract (lang="eng")
The article focuses on increase in the buying of urban properties leading to a rapid expansion in number of cities. Topics discussed include expansion leading to concerns such as the slippage in the capacity of existing urban legal regimes and underutilization of bought properties, features of cities making claims such as police brutality, housing issues and demands for better garbage collection, and foreclosures allowing investors for using mortgages in order to build asset-backed securities.
