An interview with Thomas Biersteker, a political scientist and the first Curt Gasteyger Chair of International Security at the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies is presented. Topics discussed include the effectiveness of unilateral sanctions on the abandonment of nuclear ambition in Iran, his recommendation to prevent the militarization of nuclear program, and the ideal checklist before implementing sanctions.
