An interview with Earth Institute director Jeffrey D. Sachs is presented. He says health is an area in which there is a relatively good fulfillment of commitments but the international community is falling short of its commitment to achieve Millennium Development Goals. When asked about rising food prices that have caused unrest around the world, he says there should have been more international effort to help farmers to be more productive. He also comments on the debates surrounding food aid.
