This watercolor may have been painted by Jarvie's colleague, Keith Shaw Williams, who Jarvie saw painting. His picture of Habey La Vielle was painted from the same spot.
Jarvie served with the 603rd Engineer Camouflage Battalion, part of the 23d Headquarters Special Troops (the so-called 'Ghost Army').
