The article focuses on Italy's repatriation approach also known as the negotiated return of artworks and artifacts to the country of origin, and the aspects of cultural internationalism. Topics include the issue on how the country applied intimidation and pressure tactics in winning back their artifacts, the assessment of the cultural policy which deals with the nation's role in the repatriation claims, and the frameworks of the country's cultural heritage management which include customs.
