The article discusses the goal of reframing sexual rights in Islamic law and religion for integration with international standards of human rights. Topics covered include advocacy of Muslim women in the Fourth World Confrence on Women (FWCW), Women Living Under Muslim Laws and the Beijing Declaration and Platform of Action (PoA) on gender equality. Also cited are sexuality and rights of women in the Quran, the Indonesian "Gender and Islam" manual and the Sisters in Islam group in Malaysia.
