The article focuses on the importance and complexity of intellectual property (IP) in the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP). Topics covered include the Trade-Related Aspects of Intellectual Property Rights (TRIPS) Agreement in the Uruguay Rounds, protection of digital trade, fair market access and electronic (e)-commerce through a protected Internet Protocol (IP) system.
