Abstract
In this image, Frick has drawn an English couple strolling in the streets of Paris. The husband wears the stereotypical checkered felt jacket and pants, and the deerstalker cap. On his feet are rubber shoes. His wife is equally stereotypical, with a complete mid-1880s late Victorian attire.
Note
This drawing is signed Frick, one of Gabriel Liquier's numerous pennames.
