- An engraving, reprinted from Champfleury's Histoire de l'Imagerie Populaire, which
represents the archetypal "Wandering Jew". Meige, a neuroscientist, worked with Charcot on his
doctorate. His main work is on dystonia, a disorder characterized by involuntary muscle
contractions, a particular set of which is named after him (Meige Syndrome).
