Abstract:
Madrid, 31 March 1964: From Nizar to Salma; description of Nizar’s new apartment; Nizar’s advice on what Kuzbari should title her book; the (un)importance of translating the work into Spanish; Nizar’s apologies for not congratulating Salma on an award she received, and subsequent flattery; first mention of Carmen, main character of Kuzbari’s novel, and suggestion that she continue to use the working title Eyes from Seville.
