Video: Trans-synaptic Neuronal Communication via Bioluminescent Optogenetics

Description

Abstract:
Bioluminescent optogenetics (BL-OG) can be utilized for trans-synaptic neuronal communication by expressing the light emitting luciferase in the presynaptic and the light sensing opsin in the postsynaptic neuron, with luciferin application inducing the light.
