- Abstract
- Mr. Cabral was born in Fox Point in 1940 and lived there until the early 1960s. His interview focuses on childhood memories of play, the Boy's Club, and a singing group to which he belonged as a teenager. He also discusses his father's work as a longshoreman and his own occupational history. Cabral's memories of Fox Point are very positive recollections about the close community among the area's Portuguese-Americans and among the boys with whom he played. The interview is in two parts, conducted on consecutive days and by telephone.
