- Abstract
- On April 8, 2008 Ron Moura was interviewed at his home in Barrington, Rhode Island. Moura was raised in the Fox Point neighborhood of Providence, Rhode Island. In the interview he discusses his parents jobs, attending school at Hope High School and interacting with his siblings. Moura also discusses he previous jobs, which include working as a longshoreman on the waterfront, at Davol Rubber Company, and as a firefighter. In 1995 Moura retired after serving as a Fire Chief for 3 years for the City of Providence. Moura still visits Fox Point about five times a week. He is active with the Portuguese American Social Club, the Providence Boys and Girls Club Alumni Association, and is partner in a bar on Governor Street.
