Museums and Social Media During COVID-19 (preprint)


Preprint edition of a review essay: the final version appears in The Public Historian Vol. 42.4 (2020): 164-72. This essay reflects on how museums and museum practitioners made use of social media in the wake of COVID-19, surveying crowdsourced initiatives, experiments in digital curation, and frustrations with institutional responses to employee concerns about racial inequity and labor, among other topics.
