- Como ler um livro cujas páginas e a brochura não cessam de se descoser? Abrindo-o ao acaso? Agrupando os fragmentos por temas? Impondo à leitura do texto uma ordem genética ou outra? É o hiato entre o dizer, e o que ficou escrito, preto no branco, que legitima a minha leitura, não do que Pessoa quis dizer, mas do que os seus escritos – e em particular o Livro do Desassossego – trazem para a psicanalise de hoje. A obra de Fernando Pessoa continua a despertar em mim o desassossego que tento colocar aqui ao serviço da psicanálise. Não se trata, pois, de interpretar o desassossego como um distúrbio mental, mas de analisar até onde pode levar a psicanálise atual.

- How to read a book whose pages and brochure keep falling apart? By opening it at random? By grouping its fragments by themes? By imposing to text’s reading a genetic order, or a different one? It is in the hiatus between what was said and what was exactly written that my reading of what Pessoa’s writings—particularly The Book of Disquiet—bring to today’s psychoanalysis, and not of what Pessoa meant to say, is legitimized. Fernando Pessoa’s work continues to awake in me the disquiet I here try to put at the service of psychoanalysis. It is not about interpreting disquiet as a mental disorder, but of analysing where it can lead current psychoanalysis.
