Postal office music

Description

Abstract:
Koetting's recording of post office workers at the University of Ghana, Legon has become widely known through its publication in the Worlds of Music (ed. by Jeff Titon) text and accompanying CDs. The track reflects the close connection between work and music making in Ghana as the postal workers whistle a traditional hymn over the rhythm of their stamping.
