Abstract:
Etching by and after Meier; perspective view of processions, triumphal-wagons, fireworks display etc. The triumphal-cars are filled with mythological personages and drawn by elephants, rhinoceroses, panthers, etc., while enormous human figures probably constructed of wicker, parade around. Part of the triumphal fetes held in Paris on April 5, 1612 on the occasion of the double betrothal of the Infanta Ann to Louis XIII, and of Elizabeth of France to Philip of Asturias.

Small oblong folio, mounted on white board; margins severely trimmed.
