Abstract:
Original watercolor portrait of unidentified officer signed and dated 1852 by Palin, Bangalore; full-length figure standing near column before landscape background, wearing black pelisse and dolman, heavily embroidered in gold, crimson trousers with gold stripe, red shako with black drooping plume, gold cords and plate.
Notes:
Small upright folio, matted; margins; faded, slightly soiled.
