Battle of the Weldon Rail-Road. August 21st 1864

Abstract:
Tinted lithograph by Bufford after Holland; battle taking place in fields flanking railroad line, 2 vignettes of battle scenes in upper corners. Holland served with the 9th Massachusetts Light Battery during the Civil War and saw action at Gettysburg, Mine Run, the Wilderness, Spotsylvania, Bethesda Church, Totopotomoy, Petersburg, Weldon Railroad, Hatcher’s Run and in the pursuit of General Robert E. Lee.
