Abstract:
One of a collection of 3 lithograph plates from 'Journal pitoresque'; lithograph by Wolf after Eduard Gurk; Imperial carriages approaching triumphal arch surmounted by obelisk on riverbank. Depicts the long train of Emperor Ferdinand with his wife Maria Anna of Savoy crossing the Vltava near Budweis, behind which local businessmen and dignitaries have erected a temporary triumphal gate in honor of the emperor
