Abstract:: Color lithograph by Currier; officer directing cannon fire from within fortifications; same plate as published by Sarony & Major under title "The repulsion of the Mexicans, and bombardment of Metamoras; by the U.S. Troops, under Major Brown; at 5 A.M. of the 3rd May." Original error on print, date should be 1846.
Notes:: Small oblong folio, matted; margins; slightly worn, clean. In large blue folio titled 'Mexican War Scenes.'; N.Y., Old Print Shop, 1955.
