- Abstract
- Bill Smith was an employee at Gorham Co. beginning in 1967, which was the year the Textron Corp. bought the business. He kept an extensive personal archive of work-related pamphlets, news articles, etc., which he shares with the interviewer while describing his work there. He also discusses changes in the economy and the foundry business over time, and their impact on the company and his own work.
- Note
- This oral history was conducted by a Brown University student in Anne Valk and Holly Ewald's fall 2011 course "Oral History and Community Memory".
