Abstract:
Wilbur Jennings, born in Providence in 1944, and at the time of the interview City Councilman for the West End and Reservoir Triangle, talks about growing up beside Mashapaug Pond, the history of the community, and the impact of pollution on the pond's viability. He describes his work as councilman, discussing the problems of the West End district and the struggle to improve its quality of life.
