1809, 1813: (Galician volunteer and Austrian soldier)

Abstract:
32nd in collection of 98 original watercolor and gouache drawings of Austrian (including Hungarian, Grenz and allies) uniforms: 2 standing soldiers talking, the 1 on left, a Cossack, is a Galician volunteer from one of the three Cossack squadrons raised by Austro-Hungary in 1809, wearing a navy blue jacket and pantaloons; the 1 on right in a light blue uniform is an infantryman of the Austrian "Deutsche Legion" ("German Legion"). Handwritten, near-illegible descriptions below dates.)

Unbound; in red cloth slipcase, white leather label stamped gold; some foxed or slightly soiled.
