Greek soldiers in the Morea during the insurrection of 1829

Abstract:
Original watercolor, signed by Leblanc; masses of Greek soldiers in national and military costume, resting in mountain valley. A group of leaders on the left including Theodoros Kolokotronis and probably Nikitaras, small cavalry detachment on the right, captured camels in left background, men, children and a priest resting near dogs in foreground.
Notes:
Large narrow oblong folio; matted giant folio; no margins; clean; presentation inscription by artist attached to mat.
