Esta entrevista com António Carlos Cortez examina a influência de Fernando Pessoa na formação poética, crítica e cívica do autor, abordando a oficina poética, o mito, o esoterismo, a intervenção intelectual e a crise contemporânea da cultura europeia. A conversa explora a centralidade de Mensagem, o potencial pragmático do mito, a persistência do legado pessoano nas gerações posteriores e a relação entre poesia, profecia e transformação histórica. Referindo figuras como Jorge de Sena, Sophia de Mello Breyner Andresen e Eduardo Lourenço, Cortez apresenta a poesia como resistência ética, memória cultural e regeneração espiritual perante a tecnocracia contemporânea.

Abstract (lang="eng")

This interview with António Carlos Cortez examines the influence of Fernando Pessoa on the author’s poetic, critical and civic formation, addressing poetic craft, myth, esotericism, intellectual intervention and the contemporary crisis of European culture. The conversation explores the centrality of Mensagem, the pragmatic potential of myth, the persistence of Pessoa’s legacy among later generations and the relationship between poetry, prophecy and historical transformation. Referring to figures such as Jorge de Sena, Sophia de Mello Breyner Andresen and Eduardo Lourenço, Cortez presents poetry as ethical resistance, cultural memory and spiritual regeneration against contemporary technocracy.
