Este ensaio homenageia Cleonice Berardinelli (1916–2023), figura central na divulgação e no estudo crítico de Fernando Pessoa no Brasil. Destaca o seu papel pioneiro como editora, professora e intérprete, cujo rigor filológico e cuja leitura sensível formaram gerações de alunos e investigadores. Ao revisitar as suas edições, em especial as de Álvaro de Campos, e as suas reflexões críticas, o artigo sublinha como Berardinelli aproximou as tradições literárias portuguesa e brasileira, garantindo a presença duradoura de Pessoa na vida académica e cultural do Brasil.

This essay pays tribute to Cleonice Berardinelli (1916–2023), a central figure in the dissemination and critical study of Fernando Pessoa in Brazil. It highlights her pioneering role as editor, teacher, and interpreter, whose rigorous philological work and sensitive readings shaped generations of students and scholars. By revisiting her editions, especially of Álvaro de Campos, and her critical reflections, the article underscores how Berardinelli linked Portuguese and Brazilian literary traditions, ensuring Pessoa’s enduring presence in Brazilian academic and cultural life.
