Abstract
Martella, Senior Engineer, Office of Waste Management, Rhode Island Department of Environmental Management. As project manager of the clean up at the site, Martella describes the problems that exist and the steps the state and its partners having taken to remediate pollution and make the area safe for residents and students. Martella also discusses the role of the community in addressing problems at the site and community responses to the clean up.
