Providence, R.I. Marciano, age 61, a retired Providence schoolteacher, talks in detail about
his family history, and about his current volunteer projects, including a public campaign to
address the toxic waste affecting Mashapaug Pond and surrounding area. He speaks eloquently
about the potential to restore the pond, and about educational reform in general. </mods:abstract>
