STG TR97.3 School Data Collection on the Web

Description

Abstract:
In order to explore the feasibility of using the Web to facilitate data collection across school districts, STG created a set of CGI scripts to provide statistical information to the New Hampshire State Department of Education. This project was funded by NetTech (Northeast Regional Technology in Education Consortium) and the The Education Alliance at Brown University Student researcher Santiago Barona '98 developed an HTML form to replace the traditional paper form. Data from the form was automatically entered into a database and could be quickly accessed by administrators.
