iDove: qualitative development of a text message-based intervention to prevent depression among high-risk adolescents in the emergency department

Description

Abstract:
Adolescents who both experience slight depressive symptoms and are exposed to peer-violence are eligible for iDove, a text message-based intervention to prevent depression among high-risk teens who visit the Emergency Department. The development of the "in-ED" presentation component of the study as well as preliminary recruiting data from the Open Trial are chronicled in this overview. Selected findings from the Qualitative analysis of the cognitive interviews are organized into themes and are also presented on this poster.
