Interview with John Murphy

Description

Abstract:
John Murphy was born in 1938 to Irish-American immigrants. He attended Clery School, a Catholic school on John Street, where he was surrounded with other children of Irish immigrants. He was involved in local politics, but left that to spend more time with his family and business. A successful CEO, he tells of how the Boys Club helped him, and his role as a member of the City Council during Brown University's expansion into Fox Point.
