Abstract: general (displayLabel="Scope and Contents note")
Handwritten, untitled report on military and political events in France. Document is divided into seven sections, apparently reporting on seven different developments. One section reports on a M. d'André, former cabinet head of the ex-minister of foreign affairs, being newly appointed ambassador to Dresden in Saxony to replace M. Reinhardt, the newly appointed envoy to the Swiss: this happened in July 1849. Considerable attention is also given to the affairs of Pierre-Joseph Proudhon, the French politician and anarchist who in 1849 was arrested for offending President Louis-Napoléon Bonaparte.
