Integrated Mineralogy and High Resolution Geologic Context of Lunar Impact Melt Deposits: Implications for Crustal Diversity and the Impact Cratering Process

Description

Abstract:
This work is perhaps the first major study integrating mineralogical and morphological properties of lunar impact melt deposits using the new generation remote sensing data. Our research has provided diversity of new perspectives on the character and distribution of impact melt deposits at complex craters on the Moon and has important implications for the lunar surface composition and the impact cratering process.
