Kromrey, Mike

Description

Abstract:
His organization (MOP) made the decision to buy into a highly disciplined model of congregation-based organizing by affiliating with the PICO network (now Faith in Action). This brought training and policy resources and enables MOP to participate in national-level issues. Faith in Action sacrifices high-conflict tactics in order to mobilize a much larger base of participants. Started with Catholic Charities; began with MOP when it was affiliated with National People’s Action; continued his entire career.
