Translated summary of this document reads as follows; Isla de Pinos District - 1859. Nueva Gerona, June 1st. Certificate of freedom issued on behalf of Jaime Moral, of San Agustin de la Florida, of 39 years of age, who works as a handyman in a farm. Signed: Jaime Ochoa[TN:surname is a qualified guess]. There is a seal of the Military Commander Post at Isla de Pinos. A fee of 4 reales was paid for the certificate.</mods:abstract>
