This is a description of Marblehead, MA in the handwriting of HPL which he copied verbatim from a letter he sent to Kleiner dated 1923 Jan 11. The original letter is not known to exist but is only known through the Arkham House transcripts. A transcription of the letter from the Arkham House transcripts was published in the book H.P. Lovecraft letters to Rheinhart Kleiner, edited by S.T. Joshi and Daved E. Schultz, (Hippocampus Press : New York), 2005, pages 224-228. HPL was apparently using this description as part of a larger work as the page is numbered 23 in the top right corner.
