Mentions: "Got a cheque from Tales of Magic & Mystery - only $18.50 for a story which must contain at least 3000 words" [i.e. "Cool Air" which appeared in Tales of Magic & Mystery, 1, No. 4 [Mar 1928]]. Also notes: "I have a copy of the Bullen book [ White Fire] all wrapped in case you can get a review in the Bklyn. [Times]." Closes with: "P.S. New court house starts next week" [construction began in February, 1927]
