- Undated Headed: "Caverns of Yuggoth - Night of the Black Moon" only. Manuscript note "Oct 21" in Robert H. Barlow's hand in upper right corner. Year inferred from contents. "Recently I came into touch with the new weird magazine Unusual Stories, pub. by William Crawford ... He has taken my 'Sarnath' and 'Celephais' ... By the way - did I tell you that a man named F. Lee Baldwin, Asotin, Wash. wants to publish my 'Colour Out of Space' as a booklet? I'm encouraging the idea, though it may drag itself out indefinitely" (HPL send typescript of Colour Out of Space to Baldwin on Mar. 24, 1924). Final autograph note on fragment of the envelope: "Expect to visit Long in November. Am off to the country today to hunt up an old house built by an ancestor in 1654."
