With envelope postmarked Feb. 12, 1936 "Had a good Christmas - with a tree, as last year. Young Sterling was in town that week, & we had many colloquies. Around New Year's, I visited Long for a week, & saw most of the gang except Schwartz, Koenig (who was tied up whenever I was free), & Hornig (who was on a trip to New Orleans). I met for the first time Arthur J. Burks, young Wollheim, Otto Binder & Maurice J. Kaplan ('Philip Jacques Bartel'), & saw good old Seabury Quinn for the first time since 1935."
