The text mentions "Professor Dyer," "Dr. Boyle" and "my son" as if being narrated by Nathaniel Wingate Peaslee. Annotated note by HPL at the end: "Copied Aug. 15, 1935" [see HPL to D Wandrei (1935 Aug 14) for mention of RH Barlow having "just copied my Shadow Out of Time"].
