An 82-line poem written on both sides of 3 postcard-size pages. Title continues: "Presented by his Grandfather with a volume of Contemporary Literature." Dated by HPL: "Dec. 15, 1928." First lines: "Ingenuous Age once more essays to find/ A proper gift for youth's sophistick mind ...". Draft of a poem intended to accompany a Christmas gift for Frank Belknap Long, Jr. It also appears as "An Epistle to Francis, Ld. Belknap" contained in a January 1929 letter to Maurice W. Moe published as SL 340.
