Draft completed by Nov. 27, 1927 (SL 307, HPL to CAS, Nov. 27, 1927: "I have drawn up some data on the celebrated & unmentionable Necronomicon of the mad Arab Abdul Alhazred!"). First published in a "Limited Memorial Edition" by Wilson Shepherd as A History of the Necronomicon (Oakman, AL: Rebel Press, [1938]).
