Abstract
Back view of cast silver check cutter (desk set accessory) with chasing front and back. Art nouveau tendrils with five petal flowers around. Shape tapers to thin, straight edge at bottom. Form also called a "straight edge", but called a "check cutter" in Gorham records and publicity materials. Part of 16-piece desk set made for the inlaid silver table exhibited at the St. Louis World's Fair in 1904.
