The caption title differs from this edition. Bissainthe suggests that the place of publication of this second edition is also Cap-Français, as indicated by the Port-Républicain place of signing on p. 8. The name of the printer may be false, as it indicates a printer's address in Paris [rue de la Vielle-Boucherie, as it should be, here printed as Bouclerie, indicated a more Creole interpretation]. Neither the first nor second edition of the constitutions as drawn up by Toussaint-Louverture were ever ratified.</mods:note>
