Text, surrounded by black border, memorializing Abraham Lincoln. "Abraham Lincoln, President of the United States, Mortally wounded by Assassin, April 14th; died April 15th, 1865. His enduring memory will assist, during countless ages, to bind the States together, and to incite to the love of our one, undivided, indivisible country. Peace to the ashes of our departed friend- the friend of his country and his race. His works will live forever." is printed within the border.
